This particular assignment was my first in my Creative Writing class for Fall 2025. The instructions simply wanted us to write a poem, and based off of the title, preferably something that was centered around New York City. While I cannot confirm this at this point, I went ahead with that theme and decided to write a short text about a nondescript individual’s commute from Queens to Manhattan for work, stating whatever they saw along their way. This assignment ultimately never went beyond one draft, and thus the only available documentation of it is displayed in the PDF below.
